A Sick Puppy

It has been a week or so since I last posted; we have been a bit busy as unfortunately we had a sick puppy who had to have an operation. She had an inflamed gut and the vet was worried that she might have an obstruction. There wasn’t one but she was badly backed up and needed to be flushed out.

The good news is that she is feeling a lot better now and is becoming more regular! She has to have special food for the next few days and we are likely going to change her standard food to something more gentle (such as Wainwright’s).

I can not stress enough how important it is to insure your dog! Had we not taken out insurance (we used Pet’ At Home’s own insurance) we would have had a £1,300+ vet bill; with the insurance it was around £200. On top of that the vets at Vets4Pets Brislington were fantastic; not only did they treat daisy but all the staff remembered her when we took her in for a check up. Both the main vets Gabriel and Michael were fantastic and took great care of her.

Daisy recovering in her cone of shame. A bar towel makes a great toy to!
